The protected harbor is a fantastic area for water sports, boating and fishing. The city owned lighthouse can be toured on Saturday mornings throughout the summer. Visit harborbeachlighthouse.org for tour tickets.

Council Honors 

Leonard "Pic" DeFrain

Leonard "Pic" DeFrain was honored with an open house on January 1, 2020 in celebration of his 100th Birthday. He was born in Harbor Beach on January 1, 1920 and graduated from Harbor Beach High School. Leonard has served his community in many capacities. Several of these are 

  • Coach for 70 years
  • Member of Knights of Columbus
  • Member of Lions Club
  • Member of American Legion
  • Elected to City Council for 3 terms

The Harbor Beach City Council honor "Pic" for his many years of service to his community and for his long life and prosperity, and wish him many more.

Notice

SOME FACILITIES BEGINNING TO OPEN

As of Wednesday, June 3, 2020, the restrooms at Davidson and Lincoln Memorial Park will be open. City Playgrounds will also open on June 3rd. Please be sure to wash your hands, use hand sanitizer and social distance.

TRESCOTT STREET PIER PARTIALLY CLOSED

Beginning Monday, May 18th, the Trescott Street Pier will be closed for repair. The repairs are not yet complete, but will continue as soon as final approval from the DEQ is received. Thank you for your patience and remaining off the closed section of the pier during this time.


WATER METER REPLACEMENT

The City of Harbor Beach is upgrading residential water meters.  If your meter has NOT yet been replaced, please call City Hall to schedule an appointment, 989-479-3363
