North Park Campground
About the Campground
North Park Campground is open May 1st through November 1st, and currently inhabits 40 acres of the 142 acre parcel on the north end of the city. This facility has 184 sites offering full hookup modern, tent and group camping as well as rustic sites in the woods. Other amenities include a playground with a great play scape, nature trail, cable television available, horseshoe pits, softball fields that are also available for tournaments, volleyball, basketball, modern restrooms with showers, wifi available, and a pavilion.
The City purchased property from the Huron Sugar Co. (former Grice property) in 1903. The land was partially cleared for picnic areas and camping, and a pavilion was built. North Park is now a full service city campground.
